BLM 2000

What is

The BLM2000?

Inside a keg, beer enjoys a sterile environment whereby the optimum quality of the product can be maintained. The moment beer flows from the keg, it enters a world of non-sterile supply lines, valves, joints and taps. This non-sterile environment is a haven for yeast and bacteria to thrive and reproduce, while feeding from the nutrients in the beer.

You could regularly use chemicals to remove any buildup of contamination, but at a significant cost to the bar owner. Irregular cleaning routines result in thriving yeast and bacteria colonies, which results in foul smelling, tainted beer. This gives it an off flavor and poor presentation quality.

The BLM 2000 is a beer line cleaning device that generates an audio signal, creating an unfriendly environment for yeast and bacteria within the beer lines. As a result, the bacteria is unable to grow and multiply, maintaining great flavor, and presentation for much less than other beer line cleaning products.

How it Works

With help from this state-of-the-art beer line cleaning system, you can reduce the costs of keeping your equipment clean. By eliminating the need to chemically clean your systems, you will have fresh, clean beer all the time without the risk of yeast and bacteria.
1
A complex audio frequency is broadcast from the Control Unit to the Transponder. [Single, double or both, for triple leaded systems which is/are attached directly to the outside of the beer line(s)].
2
The audio signal is induced into the beer line and travels throughout the entire length of the beer line, using beer as the medium.
3
The signal is composed of composite audio frequencies and creates an unfriendly environment for the growth of yeast and bacteria cells. As the signal travels the length of the beer line, it prevents yeast, bacteria, and biofilm from forming on the inside surface of the beer line.
4
Without a biofilm growing on the inside surface of the beer line, the beer, as it flows from the keg to the bar, enjoys a contamination-free journey, resulting in a quality product being served to the customer.
5
The BLM 2000 operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is inexpensive to operate. The power source is 16 volts AC and the current draw of a single Control Unit is only 50ma.

New Technology

The BLM-Q

The BLM2000 entered the world of draft beer line maintenance in January 1999, first endorsed by breweries in Japan. Through continued successful testing, it eventually gained brewery approvals in North America, Europe, and the United Kingdom.

In those early days, the patented BLM technology in each BLM2000 was considered to just be ‘smoke and mirrors,’ but success stories in all beer producing countries proved it to work — and work effectively. Use of the technology was spread across a variety of bars and restaurants from large and small establishments, totaling up to 45,000 beer lines.

Thirteen years since its introduction as “The New Concept in Beer Line Technology,” the new BLM-Q will be heralded as Technology for all beer cleaning cycles.

Be in Compliance

PA Law

The action of the BLM 2000 reduces the necessity to chemically clean the beer system every 7 days to every 8 weeks.

Below is a sample calculation to show how that translates to you in terms of saving money and not losing beer during the cleaning process. You’ll see the bottom line more clearly when you look at the numbers:
10 lines x 100 ft = 1,000 feet of line
1,000 ft x 1.5 oz = 1,500 oz.
1,984 oz per keg @ $75.00 = $ .0378 per oz.
1,500 x $ .0378 = $56.70 product cost each cleaning
$56.70 x 52 weeks = $ 2,948.40 annual cost of product loss.
